2014 has been a momentous award year for designer Julian Zigerli. Handpicked by L’uomo Vogue and Giorgio Armani to present his collection in the famed Teatro/Armani in January, Julian has followed up strongly this season by snatching his second Swiss Design Award in the category of Fashion and Textile design. Each year, the Swiss Federal Design Competition awards 18 designers with a handsome payout for their creative vision in the field of fashion, photography, graphic design and product design. Of the 300 applicants, a select few were additionally chosen to participate in the foundation’s exhibition during Art Basel in Miami and Basel.
Having graduated from the Berlin University of the Arts, Julian Zigerli has returned to Berlin every season to present his collection during Fashion Week, adding much needed whim and fantasy to the events. His Spring/Summer 15 collection will kick off the runway shows on July 8, 2014 and we couldn’t imagine a more exciting start for Berlin!
