The air of frenzy in our office this week can only point to one thing—Paris Fashion Week is on the horizon. This season, Berlin Showroom will open its doors to press, buyers, and afashionados in the Marais featuring 23 spring/summer collections from some of Berlin’s most promising designers. For the second edition of Berlin Showroom, I had the distinct pleasure of contributing to its fashion editorial, which, to all our excitement, has been featured on vogue.de and elle.de.
For many of the young designers partaking in the showroom, Paris is the appropriate starting point to transform their label into an international brand. With the increasing number of fashion weeks populating our fashion calendars and the increasing popularity of pre-fall/resort collections, it’s difficult for editors and buyers to make the rounds to view the latest from established labels, let alone have the time to discover the breadth of emerging talent coming out each year. Consequently, Paris is the smart bet for Berlin designers.
From minimalist designs to understated glamour to upcycled fashion, the showroom features a diverse portfolio of inventive designs that will certainly be a magnet for forward thinking international buyers primed to invest in a new crop of designers.
Menü Berlin, Berlin Showroom’s spring/summer editorial, skillfully pulls together looks from the following 23 designers:
Achtland | Antonia Goy | Blaenk | Blame | Bobby Kolade | Boessert/Schorn | Concis | Dawid Tomaszewski | DSTM | Franziska Michael | Gretchen | Hien Le | Isabell de Hillerin | Issever Bahri | Karlotta Wilde | Maiami | Michael Sontag | Perret Schaad | Pugnat | Schmidttakahashi | Starstyling | Très Bonjour |Vonschwanenflügelpupke
