Several weeks ago, a couple of us from Œ Magazine were asked to participate in NCA‘s new lookbook. Despite being camera awkward, I agreed, out of admiration for Nele Schreiner’s millinery talent.
Nele’s latest A/W 2013/14 collection “All My Beautiful Friends #3” is imbued with a youthful whimsicality. Taking inspiration from Wes Andersons’ latest Moonrise Kingdom, NCA playfully combines geometric cutouts in a mixture of desaturated tones. And like many of Andersons’ films and the otherworldly characters that inhabit them, each crafted piece is quirky, childlike in imagination, and bashfully charming.
