While the barter might appear a bit skewed to benefit the label, I can assure you that Schmidttakahashi has good intentions for your discarded pieces. With each donated garment, Schmidttakahashi will meticulously document and archive it as they repurpose your piece into a ‘new’ look. Sewn into each article of clothing is an RFID chip that chronicles the item’s history and through the label’s website, donors and new owners can track the item’s transformation.
