Floral Appliques

It’s without doubt that floral motifs have made a mad dash to the forefront of spring fashion trends this year. Many designers have opted out of simple botany prints and instead have chosen to revive and rework the use of floral appliques in intricate ways. Far from the the precious cries of flower girl wedding dresses, the latest floral looks are mature and modern.

In Demeulemeester fashion, the designer manages to celebrate the floral trend without inviting any of its overtly feminine connotations. (R) Fresh, fleshy, and flirty. This cropped camisole from Alberta Ferretti‘s SS 2014 collection, injects a dose flower child radiance to an already vibrant collection.
