Berlin’s young and hip denizens came out last Thursday to celebrate the flagship opening of Kauf Dich Glücklich along with a special performance from indie pop duo Sea & Air. The new Rosenthaler Str. location in Mitte is Berlin’s third KDG location offering a rather extensive collection of Scandinavian labels such as Samsøe & Samsøe, Carin Wester, and Ganni, along with a well priced in-house collection from KDG. KDG is a small scale chain store with a multi-channel lifestyle brand approach to retail, offering home accessories, design books, and vinyls in addition to clothing. Imagine a refined Urban Outfitters without the kitsch and boring irony.
