Curious publications for curious people – SODA Books, one of our long time favorite magazine purveyors just set up shop in our beloved city. After making a name for itself in Münich, SODA has arrived in Berlin with its extensive collection of design publications. We were very excited to check out the new store smack dab at the center of Rosenthaler Platz in Mitte. We came by the opening party and had a look around the concept store designed by “Design Liga” and left with a new sense of discovery. The magazine and book shop offers a wide range of design-related print media amongst other trending subjects. For shop owner Sebastian Steinacker it was clear that Berlin would be his next stop. Here, young creative industries come together to inspire one another. Its selection of books and magazines is very personal and Sebastian’s unique eye for emerging talent means that a curious crop of local publications get its chance to reach new readers.
