Basel based Vitra is among the most revered interior design firms of the past century, bringing the iconic Eames lounge chair and inviting the likes of Tadao Ando, Frank Gehry and the late Zaha Hadid to erect buildings, including the Gehry designed Vitra Design Museum, on its grounds at Weil am Rhein.
In “Everything is Connected”, a photographic homage to the firm’s rich history, we are invited on a game of hide-and-seek as we journey through a visual archive of Vitra, with each image subtly leading onto to the other through often unexpected clues. The hidden objects linking the images take on myriad forms, appearing as “ a color, a shape […] a motif” or perhaps another form.
